Computer hardware is the physical equipment and components that allow a system to function. It includes such items as the circuit board, graphics card, motherboard, CPU, webcam, ventilation fans, power supply, and more. They support all major functions including processing, internal storage, input, computation, output, secondary storage, and communication. Hardware can be installed inside the computer tower or laptop and connected to the outside. In contrast, the software is the machine-readable instructions that direct the computer to perform operations.
