The great bat drove the strange women away and caused poor Renfield to faint from fright. The bat that had come into the room suddenly disappeared, and the smiling figure of Count Dracula stood in its place. Dracula was ready to claim his prize, and once bitten, Renfield became his slave. The evil Count took coffins filled with Transylvanian earth and loaded them aboard a ship. In England, the boat docked, and the entire crew was dead. Yet Renfield was left alive as a raving madman.
