War. War never changes.
My great-great grandfather was serving in the army in 1945. He kept thinking about his family and wished to back home to his wife, meet his newborn son for the first time. When atomic bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki his wish came true, World War II was ended by the US.
Its a miracle that we started using atomic energy as great source of power instead of a weapon, the world avoided Armageddon.
Domestic robots, fusion-powered cars, portable computers were in the realm of science fiction, but its real now and these luxuries brought happiness to people. Sadly the American dream is fading in the 21st century.
Peace is a distant memory now in 2077, there are shortages of every major resource from years of consumption and world is unraveled. Now I am afraid for myself, for my wife, for my infant son as we are on the brink of total war. I know from my time in the army that war never changes.
