Floki was a 9th-century Norseman and one of the first to sail to Iceland intentionally. The Landnámabók is an ancient manuscript documenting the story of his family’s journey and settlement in Iceland, then known as Garðarshólmi. During one stop along the way, he captured three ravens to help guide him and was thus nicknamed Raven-Flóki.
