I think it’s what you don’t choose that defines you. Your family, your neighborhood, your city. Most of us take pride in these things, or in any accomplishment. Cities wrapped around bodies, wrapped around their souls. This block has been my home since I was born, and the people in the neighborhood are my people. If finding missin’ people is your main job, then it’s important to know where they came from. This city can be brutal. I hunt for those who landed in the cracks, then fell completely through.
