Cultivate darkness in a pure heart.
Both suppress and amplify the darkness within.
The test subject’s heart collapsed from the experiment. Our hearts are so fragile, even the most stalwart subjects had the same result. I confined the subjects who had completely lost their hearts beneath the castle as my treatment failed to show any kind of recovery.
I went beneath the castle to check upon them some time later, but I saw the strangest things. Creatures that seemed born of darkness…What are they? Are they truly sentient beings? Could they be the shadows of those who lost their hearts in my experiments?
