Rumi was a 13th-century Persian poet, scholar, and mystic from Greater Iran. His work influenced many and crossed borders and ethnic divisions, and his spiritual legacy has lasted for the past seven centuries. Rumi’s poems have been translated into many languages and formats and have influenced literary traditions of Chagatai, Urdu, Ottoman Turkish, and Pashto languages.
